Lakeland Easy Apple Corer
Product number: 26569
Quickly and effortlessly removing the cores from apples, our Easy Apple Corer has a sharp stainless steel cutter that slices neatly through your fruit to remove the core, and a plunger that then pushes the core out through the end of the corer, so you can move swiftly from one apple to the next without any faff.
For best results, place your apples on a chopping board, align the corer and push down – gravity will help you and the corer – and your fingers will stay safe.

A very good corer but you have to bang the 'plunger' section quite hard on a solid surface to remove the core from the metal tube section. It cuts through the core very cleanly though. A demonstration video would be useful.
My first attempt was with baking apples, which were not regular in shape, so I needed a couple of attempts and ended up with rather large holes. That said, it cut through the apples cleanly. I just think I need a bit more practice to perfect the technique.
I've recently found this corer very helpful when getting more flesh from melons such as canteloupe.. i used to use a knife to remove the hard outer skins of melons but invariably not very accuarely because of the ball shape. Then after seeing some Melon Balls I got an idea to use the corer and i was able to get closer to the outer skin and ended up with more melon for my fruit servings and i could angle the corer more accurately for the ends of the melon where it was difficult to use a knife
I prefer the style as it’s doesn’t take up room like the portion cutter it’s easy to use which is a bonus .
