Whether or not you have reached the ‘green Nirvana’ of recycling more than you throw away this stainless steel simplehuman divided pedal bin will cater for you. With a maximum capacity of 46 litres there is plenty of room for household waste and recycling.
Dual Compartments
The colour-coded inner buckets hold 30 and 16 litres respectively, helping to reduce the number of trips to your outdoor bins and it has a slim profile hinge so that it can sit closer to the wall than many of its competitors.
Strong Pedal
The treadle of a pedal bin is often the first thing to give up, but simplehuman bin pedals are engineered from steel to last more than 150,000 steps… more than 20 steps per day for 20 years!
Silent Close Lid
A silent-close lid with the patented lid shox technology stops the irritating ‘clang’ that so often announces a visit to the bin, and has a clever stay-open feature for those times when you need access for longer.
Easy to Empty
Inside, the two robust buckets have the bag tuck opening which ensures that any excess bin liner is kept discreetly out of sight and the ‘bucket park’ position means you don’t have to lift the bucket out all the way to remove the bag. Cleverly, there are wheels at the back so that when you need to move the bin it’s a doddle
Easy to Clean
The fingerprint-proof finish resists smudges to keep the stainless steel shiny for longer and the sturdy, non-skid base has rubber pads to protect floors and keep the bin where you want it.

Really good product. Easy to clean & takes the hassle out of segregating domestic waste and recycling items. Slim fitting so sits really well against my wall & easy to clean. Soft touch lid is a nice extra as well.
After my old simplehuman butterfly bin regrettably gave up after more than 10 years service, it was a no brainer that I would buy another simplehuman bin due to their fantastic build quality. This divided recycle bin has ensured that all my household recycling is contained neatly in one place. Like the previous reviewer, I use the larger section for recycling and the smaller one for landfill and this seems to work well. The bin had a fault with the slow closing lid and I must commend Lakeland customer service as they were beyond helpful and swiftly sent out a replacement the next day.
Already being a fan of Simplehuman bins, I am more than happy with this recycling bin. Smart & sleek to look at, it has put an end to messy recycling cluttering my kitchen!
The bin is a great size and I use the larger compartment for recycling and smaller for landfill rubbish. The silver finish repels fingerprints and the pedal mechanism is very sturdy. The lid can be locked open for emptying and closes slowly with no noisy clanging found with inferior bins. A free pack of bin liners were also supplied.
this is the most fantastic bin I have ever owned , why did I not find it earlier , I use the side that says V for household waste and the side that says H I use for recycling, for me it could not be better , I can use the slide to lock the lid in place when emptying so two hands free to take the bins out, yey! I use the recommended bags as well so no more bags peeping over the side , All I can say is if like me you had two bins in the kitchen and you need the space get this it is fantastic I would not be without it now great product
