This tray is perfect for use beside the sink as well as under it. I have a Quartz worktop without any drainer grooves and I now use this tray to collect the drips from the wire basket dish rack where I place items not going into dishwasher. Afterwards both the tray and the basket are able to be stored together under the sink. Perfect!
This is just a plastic tray. I thought it was double layered with holes to keep the undersink contents out of a puddle but the spots are just textured for grip. It should protect the cupboard anyhow.
