Thank goodness for the Drain Weasel drain cleaner. Fast, safe and easy – it’s a clever, chemical-free disposal method for removing any hair and soapy gunk that might be blocking the pipes below your bathroom plugholes, so that water can flow freely once more.
Attach one of the flexible wands to the plastic handle, insert it into your plughole and spin so the micro-hooks on the hair-snagging pad can grab up any hairs and remove it along with any soap residue in no time at all. When you’ve finished you can just release the cleaning wand into the bin with its captured bundle, so there’s no need to get your hands dirty.
Ideal for cleaning drains if you have a septic tank as no harsh chemicals are required.

Working instantly with no need for nasty chemicals, a Drain Weasel’s magic wand traps all the hair that washes down your bathroom plugholes and lets you lift it out together with all the soapy gunk that may have built up around it. The snake-like wands are long enough to reach the deepest u-bend and can be reused if you wish but if, like us, you prefer not to get too close to the gooey bundle that will emerge from beneath the plughole, the quick-release reusable plastic handle lets you just drop the used wand into the bin when you’re done. I’m not often disappointed by my purchases from Lakeland but on this occasion I am as it simply doesn’t work. The rod is too bendy and in my opinion the whole product too flimsy for use. An awful lot of money to spend on an item that on my opinion was not valuable and created no results.

Purchased this product as the waste water in our shower tray was going down the drain very slowly. Unfortunately it does not work in any of our shower plug holes or sinks as they are pop ups (p-traps). I think the products is for s-bend drains only and perhaps this should be made more clear on the packaging. £11.99 down the drain !!!!!

The plug chain "S" hook was stuck in the bath plughole and when I cut the chain to free it the end with the hook slid down the plughole before I could retrieve it. Luckily I could see it and managed to pull it back up with this wand and a pair of pliers, so it saved a plumbers bill.
Seems to be particularly good at removing hair blockages.
Having a daughter with long hair is a disaster for my drains. I also have a septic tank, so have to be careful as to using bleaches etc. This tool is brilliant in stopping floods!!
