Dossil Sink Plug Strainer

After reading some of these reviews, I thought I should add my own to say, I too have found it impossible to remove the black deposits on the reverse of the cover, even after soaking in a strong bleach solution. Although the cover works very well, I’ve had to dispose of it and am reluctant to buy another. I’ve ordered a different make via Amazon today, hopefully I won’t have the same problem. Still love Lakeland’s products though.

I've used these for more years than I can count since the previous design. Okay, they do have holes, so some hair does go through, but most is collected. The key to good performance is the ensure it is pressed down when you start and then when you are cleaning, clean it too. Same as a plug needs cleaning, these do as well. I use normal bathroom spray and a soft sponge and have never had a problem with keeping it clean. So why might I have had to buy the new design? They do stain with the use of hair colour so I trade out the Dossil when I use it same as I change the towels. Easy.

Excellent but I've stopped using it because it has gone black. I can't get the black off despite trying bleach and scrubbing it with numerous detergents, this is a shame as it used to look really good and it kept our pipes clean. Now it looks unsightly and dirty and I don't want it on display and staring me in the eye each time I enter the bathroom.

Could not stand the drain cover in the shower stall plasic chrome scratched and always yucky. Got this quite a while ago unscrewed chrome from drain thing and laid this over hole a little small and yes it floated so got some sugru and put a centre blob on dossil now it is semi permanant looks like a flowerI can lift the whole thing out of the drain to clean, other than that it never moves and boy does it catch hairs.

Keeps long hair out of the drain in the shower. Works a treat and stays put. you need to clean and dry it after each use anyway then it stays pristine.
