Lakeland Antibacterial Dishcloths – Pack of 5
Product number: 20953
Knitted from a blue-flecked poly-cotton blend that’s 75% cotton with added antibacterial fibres, our soft, stretchy Antibacterial Dishcloths have been a mainstay of our range for several decades. It’s all thanks to their high cotton content that ensures they’re absorbent enough for washing pots, mopping up spills and efficiently cleaning surfaces, combined with their reassuring ability to keep germs and bacteria at bay. Much loved by our customers, they help keep home hygiene at the highest level.
Antibacterial properties
When left wet at the kitchen sink, most dishcloths begin to smell, and the damp can harbour many kinds of germs harmful to health. The specially treated, antibacterial fibres of these white and blue dishcloths actively inhibit the growth of germs and bacteria, helping to deter the nasty bacteria that can cause food poisoning. So, unlike untreated versions, Lakeland Antibacterial Dishcloths will be helping your family stay safe whilst ensuring your dishes are as clean as possible.
Machine washable
Even after repeated washes in water, the antibacterial properties within the dish cloths remain effective, so they’ll serve you well for many cleaning sessions to come.
Resist odours
Bacterbrill – the antibacterial fibre that keeps nasty bacteria at bay – is also used in clothing such as socks to help keep them smelling sweet rather than sweaty, so it’ll help keep away any unpleasant musty odours for much longer than dishcloths that don’t have this added protection.
What are they made from?
Please note: Lakeland antibacterial products are designed to be used as part of your normal food hygiene procedures.

I have been buying these dishcloths for many years. They are definitely the best available
These cloths last ages. I add these to my orders or buy from the shop as it's good to have a stash
These are the worst dishcloths I have ever bought. No matter how much you wring them, they stay very wet. Not a patch on your Lancashire 100% cotton dishcloths, which I purchased for a number of years but are no longer available.
We’re very sorry to hear they didn't meet your expectations and have already been in touch to sort it for you. You may find these more suitable : https://www.lakeland.co.uk/46578/lakeland-100-cotton-traditional-dishcloths-pack-of-3
I have used these dishcloths for years. They are the best I have ever come across and still gentle on the hands. They also last for ages and work really well at mopping up spills, cleaning surfaces and cleaning the dishes. When they start to look worn I use them to clean the bathroom or the floor as they have enough structure to scrub if you need it.
I don't do dishes in a soapy water filled tub/sink. I soak pans (using old kettle water) and then clean. As these clothes are rather large and thick, it seems to take a lot of soap to get these sudsy. I tried cutting them in half and found that worked much better for me, but I didn't stitch them after cutting, and despite net bag use, they are unravelling gradually after machine washings on gentle . I'll try stitching the next one when I get to it. Not sure I'd buy again, but i will keep using the ones I have. I would think if you wash in a tub they probably work much better.
