"Leaked quiche" star star star_border star_border star_border After doing exactly as suggested I still lost a lot of my egg mixture. Luckily I had a oven liner otherwise I would be cleaning the base of the oven. support_agent A note from the team Thanks for your review. We’re sorry to hear of your experience with the tin. We’d advise to part blind-bake the pasty first, do an egg wash and put it back in the oven for a short period of time for this to set making sure there’s no cracks. We’d then advise to add the filling. If you feel the tin won’t be suitable going forward, you can return this to us under our three year guarantee.
"Disappointed" star star_border star_border star_border star_border Until recently I had an aga, which saves one from having to bake blind. It gave the perfect quiche every time. So, when I saw your perforated quiche tin I was delighted, no more baking beans! I used it yesterday for the first time and was utterly disappointed. Firstly, a great deal of the egg mix ended up on the floor of the oven having seeped through the holes, and despite leaving the quiche in for several mins longer than advised, the pastry was still white and unappealing. I’m not a novice, and what I produced yesterday was a sad excuse for a quiche. support_agent A note from the team We'd advise to part blind-bake the pasty first, do an egg wash and put it back in the oven for a short period of time for this to set and then add the filling.
"Just Leaks" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I tried this twice doing all the correct things part baking brushing with egg and then back to bake but still the tin leaked out wasting my efforts and ingredients. If I did very thing right why on earth does it leak not a good product at all very disappointing support_agent A note from the team We’re very sorry to hear it was faulty but glad to see you've already been refunded
"Great Buy" star star star star star I bought this for my son in law, (he is a chef) and he told me this was a super tin for baking pastry no more soft bottoms, he recommends this for all homes bakers.
"Perfect and, no, it doesn't leak!" star star star star star I read that some reviewers said that the tin leaked, but needn't have worried. I didn’t bake the pastry blind but did check for cracks and took the precaution of placing a baking tray on the shelf below in case it leaked – it didn’t. I used the recipe recommended in a previous review (thank you!) - 3 eggs, 300ml creme fraiche, seasoning, pinch nutmeg - plus lardons, onions, mushrooms, goats cheese, 40 mins @165 (fan). Results: perfect! Can’t wait to start experimenting with other ingredients.
