Zoku® Ice Cream Maker Blue 5 "Zoku ice cream maker" Fiona H 05 January 2015 This review is for an older version of this product I wanted a small ice cream maker and this works very well for this. If you follow the instructions especially about quantities, it works well. It also makes excellent frozen yoghourt. The secret is to remember it makes one portion at a time. For larger amounts I would recommend the chef'n sweet spot ice cream maker which works in exactly the same way. The Zoku is great for single portions, and I agree with a previous reviewer that it would make 3portions before needing to be washed and refrozen.
Zoku® Ice Cream Maker Blue 5 "Great product - Very Happy with results" Joy 05 August 2014 We have tried various ready made desserts such as chilled custard, Alpro soya desserts, Activia 0%fat flavoured yogurts, and creme caramel and they have all turned out really well into a lovely creamy style ice-cream. We usually do 1 pot of dessert at a time and find that we can make 3 ice-cream desserts one after another before it needs to be washed up and put back in the freezer before using it again. I think it is excellent as it turns low calorie desserts into ice-cream. Buying ready made cartons of ice-cream that taste like this would be quite expensive.
Zoku® Ice Cream Maker Blue 1 "Sadly does not do what it says on the tin!" Ms Kelly 03 July 2014 I have previously bought the Quick Pop Maker and been very impressed, so I bought this expecting it to perform equally well. Unfortunately the bowl design just doesn't work. I've tried freezing it for over 24 hours to see of that made a difference but it didn't. The only way it would work would be to use very, very little mixture, maybe 2-3 tablespoons. I have since purchased the Chef 'N Sweet Spot maker which is brilliant and much easier to use. It might cost more but at least you get ice cream not milkshake. I had to give this 1 star but would rather have given no stars at all. A note from the team Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry that the Zoku doesn't make a large enough quantity for you. Please note:The Ice Cream Maker is designed to make individual portions (using 5ozs of ice cream mixture) and to store easily in your freezer. To use, remove the frozen bowl from the freezer and place it into the protective sleeve, pour in your ice cream mixture, churn and scrape the stainless steel bowl with the included spoon, and watch as the ice cream freezes in minutes before your eyes
