Lakeland 6 Boiled Egg Cooker & Poacher

I bought this on a whim but I'm so glad I did. Perfect hard or soft boiled eggs, Omelette and poached eggs. I made 2 poached eggs that came out perfect, this is a first for me I have tried every method without success. Haven't made scrambled eggs yet but since you just adjust the water to your liking I know I will get a good result even if it takes a couple of attempts. I am very happy with this lovely gadget. Easy to clean too, accessories go in dishwasher or easy to wash by hand. I use Lemon juice to clean the base plate, looks like new afterwards.

First the Good, this device is very good at cooking eggs. However - Previous versions would buzz when the cooking is completed, this version you have to rely on noticing the light switching off. Unfortunately the light is not very bright when on, and in a well lit kitchen is difficult to see the difference. the result being overcooked eggs - unless you are watching very carefully. All-in-all I believe this version of the egg cooker is not as good as my previous one, and I am seriously considering returning it for a refund.

I find this product useful, saving boiling water in a saucepan for either boiled or poached eggs. I use it at home, but it is also really useful in my caravan, saving the use of saucepans and the gas rings and taking up very little space to store. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I recommend this product.

I admit I was skeptical thinking it was just another thing to go in the cupboard but I was wrong. I love poached eggs & this has proven to be a great asset. The only problem I have found is that the size of egg is not what I had available so I will be starting with a smaller large size as soon as the XL are consumed & am really looking forward to the ease it provides.

I've had one of these for a number of years and it is the most useful piece of equipment in my kitchen. I have a boiled egg every day for breakfast and it's so easy. Whether I'm boiling one egg or six I turn it on and it turns off when they are done, living me free to get the rest of breakfast ready without having to watch the time.
