So easy to use ready rolled takes all the hard work out of it
Make 20 cm Christmas cakes and this makes putting the marzipan on effortless. Great flavour and superb quality too. Only criticism is that is could be slightly thicker, but otherwise brilliant
Used this stuff on a Christmas cake recently. Must say easy to place on the cake and use, however, when it came to eat the cake family members said there was not a lot of taste with the marzipan. and I must agree. They also felt it far too thin. Perhaps a thicker version ought to be considered!
I really thought that not only would this save me some time and effort, but would be a superior quality. Usually I buy supermarket own in a block. This stuff was cracked when I unrolled it but sadly it is cracking more and more now it is on. Every time I smooth a bit over, the next time I look it has split. It is splitting all around the top edge and sliding down the sides of my cake. Not only have I wasted the money, I have wasted the time it will now take me to scrape it all off and start again, which I could have well done without. I won't bother buying this again I'm afraid.
Cracks could be caused by a cool, dry environment and too much flour or icing sugar drying it out, but we we're sorry this happened and that it cracked so quickly.
