One Handed Locking System
Unlike many other models, these have a one-handed lid-locking system with nothing to line up – simply place the lid on the stainless steel pan, press the button and hey presto, it’s locked! Once the cooker has reached full pressure, an indicator pops up so you can start your timings, and two pressure settings – low and high – cater for all the dishes you can think of.
Pressure Release Valve
Our pressure cookers are equipped with a pressure release valve which lets you release steam before removing the lid if you want to add more ingredients or just check on progress. And we love the additional glass lid, which means it can be used like a normal pan on the hob for browning or in the oven as a stockpot.
Suitable For All Hobs
To give you the greatest versatility and usability, our pressure cookers have been developed to work on all hob types, including induction. The pan and glass lid are also oven safe up to 180°C. Please note: pressure cooking lids not suitable for oven use.

We had 2 Prestige pressure cookers, both of which failed because of a flimsy plastic component in their pressure control mechanism. The Lakeland pressure cooker is in a totally different league, beautifully made, elegant in appearance and a much thicker base that when making a casserole it doesn’t burn at the base. We use it regularly for functions like making a venison casserole to cooking chick peas to make hummus.
I bought this to replace a Prestige pressure cooker (which are nothing like as good as they were 30 years ago, I got fed up replacing broken parts on the last one). After a couple of month's use, I can say that I am very happy with it. It is excellent for making stock, stews and steamed puddings. Its height and diameter mean that it fits perfectly in the pan drawer. I highly recommend it
Bought this as trying to find the most economical method of cooking! Used with an induction hob this is really fantastic. I love the easy way the lid locks and the fact that there’s no bulky handle. The pan itself is tall and quite thin. The only issue I have is that on the description on the website it says that “The pan and glass lid are also oven safe up to 180°C.” However, in the instructions that come with the cooker it goes to great lengths to say that it should not be used in the oven. Very confusing! On contacting Lakeland I have been assured that it is in fact oven safe (not the lid)
This has been bought as a present so I can't comment on the cooking experience but it seems very well made and the glass lid makes it very versatile. I was aware that the pressure cooker did not come with a steaming basket but I am very surprised that Lakeland do not sell one as an optional accessory as I would have purchased one.
A quality product with very clear instructions and guidance. The product is saving me time electricity. The other massive benefit is that because of the significantly reduced cooking time more nutrients are being retained and so not only does the food taste better, it is also healthier. Delighted with my purchase.
