Did you know that the temperature of the water you pour over your tea can directly affect its taste? Water that’s too hot can scald the leaves and leave your tea tasting bitter or astringent. Water that’s not hot enough won’t bring out the full flavour. The boffins at Sage have developed the Sage Smart Kettle to get the best out of your brew every time.
With one-touch settings from 80-100° C to heat water to the optimal temperature for green, white, black and oolong teas – there’s even a 95°C setting for coffee lovers too. And you’ll also find recommended temperatures in the instruction booklet for a whole host of other teas – everything from apple tea to wulong tea. Heating rapidly thanks to its 3kW element, when the water reaches the desired temperature, the kettle switches itself off. And, if you’re not quite ready to pour, it will keep the water at your selected temperature for up to 20 minutes.

Our old Bosch kettle finally gave up after many years of use . As we have the Sage toaster I bought this kettle and I am very impressed . Many settings ,easy to clean and takes up less space on the work top.
I think my new kettle is just fantastic looks fab, great pouring spout, easy to use, a thing of beauty, just love it, bit expensive but worth it
Had this a couple of months now and definitely the best kettle I've had so far. Though not a tea drinker use the different temperature setting for other things; 80 degrees for instant malted drinks; 85 degrees for a certain brand of Cappuccino and 90 degrees for my instant gravy. As things stand the kettle is working just as I'd hoped.
I was hesitant in buying this replacement kettle to replace my Kitchen Aid kettle that I adored. My Kitchen Aid kettle was leaking and would not switch off at boil so I decided I was not going to buy that brand again in case it was a design fault. I am so glad I chose the Sage Smart Kettle. Not only is it cheaper than Kitchen Aid, it looks great and has temperature settings that are very handy. I do not regret my choice as this is the best replacement kettle I could have chosen and comes with a 3 year guarantee. Very happy so far!
Very pleased with this kettle. Looks very smart and easy to wipe clean. The lid opens nicely and it pours well. It gives a quiet beep when it has boiled. Would highly recommend.
