I thought I could get away without one, but it’s so much better with one. When it comes to handling wet bread dough, this metal scraper makes all difference. I wouldn’t be without it now.
My husband loves making bread and has found that this dough scraper really helps gives a nice clean cut, great when pastry making as well, surfaces get cleaned down so much easier with this scraper, Highly recommend.
This is very good for portioning and separating any kind of dough. Would recommend.
I did wonder whether this would be worth buying but have found that it saves a lot of mess and is invaluable for quickly and cleanly cutting through dough. I've also found it useful for cutting lengths of pastry or biscuit dough. It's therefore a dual purpose product and is earning it's keep! Also, the Lakeland version is comparatively cheap in price as I've seen similar products elsewhere for double the money.

This made such a difference when dealing with the dough this time that I made bread. I had small plastic ones which were greatfor getting the dough out of the bowl after the first proving, but they were not big or stiff enough for dealing with the dough on the counter. Having watched countless You tube videos with people wielding "proper" scrapers, I wanted one - but not at some exorbitant price. Thank you Lakeland.
