Terrific way to slice a pineapple with little or no mess. After a couple of not great attempts I found it really easy to use.

Pineapple Corer, Slicer and Wedger
Product number: 15871
Peeling, coring, slicing and wedging a pineapple as quickly as you can open a can, this clever kitchen gadget works like a corkscrew to prepare rings, slices or chunks in seconds.
Quick and Easy Pineapple Prep
Fresh pineapple tastes like summer and sunshine, but the spiky-skinned fruit is notoriously tricky to prepare using a knife – which is why so many of us give it a miss and head for the tinned variety instead. But it seems a shame to reach for a can when you could be enjoying just-out-of-the-skin juicy goodness instead, and in the same amount of time… step up our much-loved customer favourite, the Pineapple Slicer & Wedger.
For Slices or Wedges…
Cut the spiky hairy bit off the top of your pineapple with a knife, then choose the size of adaptor – small, medium or large – that best fits inside your fruit. If you want pineapple chunks rather than rings, slot the wedger widget (the green divided bit) on top of the adaptor, then click the handle into place at the top. Then simply pop on top of your pineapple and do the twist!
How it Works
The toothed centre acts as a pineapple corer cutting out the fibrous centre, and the outer serrated and inner angled plastic blades slice through the flesh as you turn the handle, creating a single spiral right down to the base of your pineapple that’s all juicy fruit with no chewy core or tough skin. Just pull on the handle to remove the fruit, then push down on the wedger widget to cut into salad-ready chunks.
A Taste of the Tropics
There are so many sweet and savoury ways to enjoy the tangy tropical taste of pineapple, from classic puds to chutney and salsa. You’ll find lots of pineapple recipe inspiration on our blog, and don’t forget the shell: it makes a fun, fruity way to serve exotic desserts and cocktails. Piña colada, anyone?

Terrific way to slice a pineapple with little or no mess. After a couple of not great attempts I found it really easy to use.
It works like a dream, operating like a corkscrew it enables you to lift out the whole fruit (all eyes left in the shell, which you can also still use for serving if you want to) in minutes, and then run the green slicers down to make smaller pieces if you want to (otherwise you just take the cutter apart and rings, or half rings, or whatever you most desire from your pineapple are there and just waiting for you. I could not have asked for more.
Had a similar item before and it didn't do it's job. As I love fresh pineapples I bought this one and it's so much better and I love it.
If Michaelangelo had had one of these, he would have sculpted David out of a pineapple. Excellent tool for shaping this tasty fruit easily, stylishly, with minimum waste.
I’m not usually a fan of gadgets that get used once (often not very effectively) then get pushed to the back of the cupboard to gather dust. But this really does work and will be used every time we have fresh pineapple. Very well designed, robust and great value for money. Bear in mind, though, that it’s a “two man” job - one to hold the pineapple and the other to screw down the handle.
