Bought this butter dish in 1999 and it is still effective. Butter stays cool in the summer and doesn't get rock hard in the winter. I clean it in the dishwasher and it's as good as new. I've bought it as presents for people and it is always appreciated.
I bought the insulated butter dish after reading the reviews & I wanted something to stop my butter going hard in the winter & thought that this would solve the problem. It was slightly more expensive than what I wanted to pay but thought it would be worth the money if it solved my problem. I followed the tips on here to leave the butter out of the fridge to soften and then put in the dish, but it doesn’t work and after putting softish butter into the dish, the next day it was as hard as if it had been in the fridge! It’s so disappointing as Lakeland usually have great products :(

Excellent. Keeps butter at just the right consistency. This is a replacement as the first one developed rust spots after about two week. This replacement was swiftly sent and so far no problems. Cannot fault Lakelands return policy!
I have been looking for a smart butter dish to stand on the side and this is the one easy to clean ideal
We leave the butter in it's wrapper until it is soft enough for our liking and then place in into the butter dish. It has been brilliant during the hot weather as it stays at the same consistency it was placed in the dish. Did not go hard during the cold spells.
