Lakeland Medium Hemisphere Cake Pan
Previously only achievable with lots of stacking and carving of cakes, perfectly round globes of cake can be yours, as simply as baking in these tins! Made from tough anodised aluminium which has great heat distribution properties, you just bake two halves, put them together and watch as friends marvel at your football, planet, princess carriage, snowman… or any other cake you can dream up!
A single half makes a perfect igloo or ladybird cake. So much fun, and so simple... what will you make? Oven safe up to 230°C.

Eek I love this product so much . My tips are: *Use cake release spray *A cooks ring to keep the pan still on tray *low & slow on oven temp & time (to stop uneven cooking or burning, its worth the wait) *leave to cool for a while before turning out onto wire rack

perfect cake tin for multitude of cake ideas - i've so far used for the top of a burger cake. however, it takes ages to cook the sponge (I turned the oven down 20degrees as advised) but it took an hour to cook one sponge because the middle is so deep! It was ok but not the most light and fluffy sponge I've ever made - slightly embarrassed by it (the other layers of cake from the same mixture were fine). Lakeland/other customers - your advise please would be appreciated!!! thanks
A note from the team: Thanks for taking the time to write your review. Our buying team have some hints and tips that may help - The baking temperature should be reduced by 20 – 25C. Foil can be placed on top of the cake whilst it was in the oven to prevent it over-baking on the shallow side. But generally baking in these pans can take about 10-20 minutes longer than in a normal pan.

Lakeland I love you! I run a cake business from home and I have been trying to source these hemisphere tins in different sizes for months and now you have them. Ordered Thursday, arrived Tuesday afternoon, baked in Tuesday evening. Absolutely fantastic. I used to use pyrex bowls but was never happy with the consistency of the sponge.
