What is a filter coffee machine?
Filter coffee makers are smart appliances that slowly filter hot water through ground coffee beans.
All you need to do is add water to the tank and place your ground coffee beans into a filter. The filter coffee machine then heats the water to the perfect temperature and allows gravity to pull it through the coffee grounds. The flavour and colour of the beans is extracted by the water, which then falls into a jug or carafe below. All you need to do then is pour and drink. And enjoy of course.
What makes filter coffee so good?
Instant coffee is freeze dried and loses much of its flavour in the manufacturing process. However, a filter coffee maker uses ground beans, and the drip action gives a smooth, rich coffee with all the true nuances and flavours of the bean. Filter coffee machines also heat water to the perfect temperature – between 92°C and 96°C - to draw the maximum flavour out of the coffee beans.
