Caring for your knives
Once you have the perfect kitchen knife, you’ll be amazed at the precision chopping you can perform. However, when you’re using your kitchen knives every day, they’ll gradually become blunt and the blades will dull – increasing the risk of the knife slipping off your food rather than effectively cutting through it. Thankfully, using the right sharpener or whetstone regularly will ensure your knife cuts safely and provides premium performance for years to come.
Stainless steel blades might be rust-resistant, but this doesn’t mean they are fully rustproof – so regularly leaving them overnight in the dishwasher or dripping on your drying back means they’ll eventually develop rust spots. To prevent this happening, always try to wash your knives by hand and dry them straight afterwards, before popping them in a knife block for safe storage.
