Easter is a holiday that has multiple meanings: it’s a religious festival and the end of Lent, it marks the close of winter and the arrival of spring, and it’s a time to celebrate with family and friends. And of course, for many of us Easter means Easter eggs, chocolate treats and Easter gifts.

When is Easter?
Unlike other major holidays throughout the year, Easter is a movable festival that’s dictated by the phase of the moon, rather than an event that occurs on a specific date. Easter falls on the Sunday after the first Full Moon that happens after the spring equinox. This is usually sometime between the 22nd March and 25th April.
