20 Wipe Off Carpet & Upholstery Stain Remover Wipes

I would just reiterate others comments comparing these unfavourably with the older product. These are wet, slimy and unpleasant to use. Neither are they anywhere near as good at cleaning the stain. I have awarded them 1 star as there is not a '0' star.

I never, ever, write to extol commercial goods - however, this is the most amazing product I have bought in my 30 years of trading with Lakeland. Am buying more for all my friends who are thrilled with the results !Removes stubborn student carpet stains and everything else that I have applied these wipes to. Excellent product !

Just discovered dried tea stain on the kitchen carpet, after using one of these wipes, not a mark remains, what a relief, thank you Lakeland.

Please bring the old ones back, they were brilliant, but these new ones don't do nearly as good a job.

I have always sworn by your upholstery wipes and safely used them on anything and everything. I have tried 2 different packs of your new ones (since last autumn) and they do not take out stains to the same extent and worse, they've discoloured a patch on my sofa. Please stock your old ones again!

The old carpet wipes were much superior to these new ones. I purchased a pack the other day and used when I got home. Not half as good as the old ones. Please can you restock the original carpet wipes as they were an excellent product. Wouldn't buy the new ones again.

Oh dear the old wipes you did were brilliant but these are useless even on stains that have just happened they seem to spread the stain more & on old stains you almost have to rub the wipe away for a minimal result. Shop own brand £1 wipes are better !!!!!!

I received this product today and tackled a ground in stain on my carpet of soot/coal from my logburner which would not budge with anything else. Took a bit of elbow grease and a couple of wipes but carpet as good as new!!

These wipes are amazing, my mother in law bought me a pack but I doubted they'd be worth it. Then my youngest son knocked me and I spilt hot chocolate on a white cushion, I got one out not expecting much and amazingly the stain disappeared! I've since used them on all sorts including stains on the kids clothes and they get rid of so many stains. I highly recommend these to anyone.

Having tried all the other carpet cleaners I was dubious about these wipes but was amazed to see a 6 month old oil stain and shoe polish marks disappear in seconds. No nasty smells, no having to brush in then hoover, just a quick wipe and the stains disappear - best product I think I have ever purchased from Lakeland!

These wipes are brilliant for having around when you have a little accident. They have removed make up, red wine, fake tan and tomato sauce. However I primarily bought them to use on the edges of some upholstery that had become a little grubby over time and they had minimal effect. But still these have been excellent to have to hand to quickly remove traces of spillages before they become a stain.

These wipes are SO effective, they removed powder blusher from a cream coloured deep pile wool rug and dried mud from an upholstered chair. I'd tackled these stains before without success but the wipes did the trick.

I tried them on some small black marks on a carpet (probably shoe polish). They worked really well. I found the best technique would be to use my thumb nail to grind the cloth into the mark. I kept all the cloths I used and balled them up. I was then able to rub a larger area on another carpet that looked a little grubby and this lifted off too. As they didn't work on every mark, but did lift some very stubborn marks I'm giving these 4 starts, as quite handy, quick and not too expensive.

Absolutely brilliant - should they dry out in the packet just moisten slightly with water & they work again. I am using them on carpet stains.

Having read other reviews I debated whether to buy this product or not but decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately it did not remove the stain which I bought it for (gravy on a cream upholstered chair) but it has removed several smaller stains on various carpets-all of unknown origin. As it was not that cheap and I possibly could have found another product for the other stains I was a little disappointed. Usually Lakeland comes up trumps but not on this occasion. Perhaps packaging could give examples of types of stain it is particularly effective on.

I bought this product after seeing it demonstrated in store. In store it seemed to work really well, and I was assured that it would work on stains that were even a couple of weeks old. I tried using them on a stain on my dining chair that was approximately a week old, and it did not remove the stain in the slightest, which was a real disappointment as Lakeland products are usually of such high quality.

I have been buying these for years, they are great for spot cleaning carpets, they work every time and you do only need one wipe. We have also found a new use for them since our daughter started school last Sept, for spot cleaning school uniform. I couldn’t do without them now and they sometimes save me washing her pinafore for a couple of days, so they are good for the environment too. I think these are so great I actually gave all of my family a pack in their stocking this year (amongst other things!)

These work... I have cream carpets and a cream rug, and it has just made they look like new

These wipes arrived this morning and after much hype I discovered they did not do anything on the three separate stains, on three separate fabrics that I tried. I am most disappointed and want my money back. It doesn't merit the one star rating as there isn't a category for useless!!

Very effective product but the pack needs a re-design to stop the wipes drying out in between uses - maybe one of the plastic pop-up tops like those on cosmetic wipes.
