No blade on base or side so not gently scraping the pan surface and has a numb raising it 2mm above the base. Sauces dont work when egg based like custard. It cuddles or catches on the base. No thermometer which would help. Really upsetting as expected better from lakeland. A note from the team Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear of your disappointment. The pot stirrer is designed to be above the base of the pan so the sauces can flow freely underneath while being stirred and we use paddles so as to not damage the pans. Have tried this stirrer 3 x to make bechamel sauce. Results mixed. Good things: neat power unit, good grip on saucepans, cordless function, 2 speed Not so good: no recipes limited instructions fiddly bits needs charging for each task results variable Conclusion not really a substitute for Le Saucier

Lakeland Cordless Automatic Pot Stirrer for 14cm to 24cm Pans 5 "Fantastic!" Mrs SMITH 14 February 2020 Oh my word what an ingenious product! I had a stroke recently and my left arm is still a bit weak, so trying to stir things as well as hold the saucepan has been quite a challenge. I've tried chocolate sauce, white sauce and a Bolognese sauce so far and can't praise the product enough, yet again well done Lakeland and thank you for letting me test the stirrer for you!
