Lakeland Fully Forged Stainless Steel Bread Knife 22cm Blade

I bought my last bread knife about thirty years ago. It was meant to last 25 years so did well but the replacement was well overdue. This one is noticeably heavier but I don't find that a problem and it cuts new bread, still warm, really well....as long as you don't get tempted to press down on the loaf as you cut!

This is a very good knife, heavy but well-balanced. Cuts bread, cake, etc., no problem. Very sharp, as my fingers can testify! I actually bought several different knives from the same range at the same time, and realised that my old set of knives, which I always thought were fine, were actually ancient & blunt! I would recommend this range to anyone.

Wish I hadn't sat on the fence for years. This is frankly the best bread knife I have used! It is fairly weighty but if you like like light weight bendy knives then this isn't for you. All of my house are delighted to have a knife that cuts all breads and the Christmas cake effortlessly.

Coupled with the folding loaf slicing device with several thickness settings,everything from thin sandwiches to doorstops. Just the job to go with the Carr's wholemeal loaves from the Panasonic breadmaker.

This is a really great bread knife - easy to use and cuts really straight when I use it. Unfortunately, my husband is left handed and the slices he cuts are uneven and 'chewed'. In fact he has reverted to our old double edged knife intended for slicing fish.

This knife is fantastic. Really very sharp, balanced, and cuts straight. It is quite fat at the top of the blade, and for a knife it is startlingly heavy. Not a concern for me, but worth noting if buying for somebody with hand problems. Best bread knife I have ever owned.

This bread knife is on the heavy side, so not suitable for little hands or those who suffer from arthritis, but it cuts perfectly straight!!!

I have tried several very expensive knives but none of them are as good as this one, a wonderfully sharp blade, beautifully balanced, nice weight, and a handle that fits in your grasp as if it were made to measure, I also bought the carving knife which is also great, my husband loves using them both, and so I am now ordering the rest of the set. I do not think I will ever need to buy any other knives, they are simply the best.
