Lakeland SureStop Drinks Water Bottle 500ml

This is the best water bottle I have had and I have tried a lot. Its fits in my bag easily, it holds a nice amount. Easy to clean out, strong/well made. The bung is very quick to get on and off and it never leaks even though it spends most of the time sideways in the bottom of my bag.

i was dubious about these bottles but was fed up with the sports type leaking around the seal, these are brilliant, also i believe those that have problems with leaking and the lid coming off when you lift it are not closing it properly, its not just a rubber bung it does have a type of seal that when you push the lid in you give it a turn and it seals like a normal screw type lid this is not mentioned on any label, but if you look on the bottom of the lid it shows a diagram showing turning arrows and it definately seals tighter, even lifting by the lid full of water doesnt let it come off. 5*

This product was great when I first purchased it but after a while it started to leak when the stopper top has lifted itself out of the bottle! I've actually filled it and watched it happen in front of my eyes until the point where if it's tipped up, it leaks. Beware!

This bottle has literally been round the world with us. Hubby has Parkinson's so has to take regular tablets throughout the day. This bottle holds plenty of water for the whole day and even after being left on it's side after hasty rummaging around in the bag at security checks, it has never leaked.

I haven't used this bottle yet. It came with a sticky label on the side. When a label doesn't peel off or soak off, I try 3 different methods of removal. These are white spirit, meths or nail polish remover. None of these worked and I am left with an unpleasant smeared mark. I hoped this bottle would fit into the side pocket of my rucksack, but it doesn't. Very disappointed.

Despite not being able to remove the sticker completely and the 'bung' part being slightly marked, I am really pleased with this bottle. It really is leakproof and I would definitely buy more should a larger selection of colours and sizes become available.

This is by far the best water bottle I've ever owned. I don't ever worry about it spilling in my bag during my commute, it holds the perfect amount of water, and is BPA free! The one thing I can't figure out is how to clean the residue trapped in the bottom bit (outside the clear plastic, inside the green). Logically, I should be able to pull the green part off to clean it (considering it has little holes that let liquid in ie in the dishwasher). As a result it LOOKS like a dirty bottle even when it's not. Seems a shame to have such a silly design flaw on an otherwise perfect product!

Have had this a long time now. It gets thrown around and chucked in my bag etc, but has never once leaked a drop.

Do not lift by the cap... it will come off. Which does make it good for kids to open but something you need to remember. The bottom of the bottle will hold residue water when washed so you need to dry it upside down. And for the life of me I cannot remove the sticky 'glue' that held the label. It IS leak proof though, which does make up the slight faults.

I had to buy another drinks bottle as my daughter lost the one I bought from Lakeland a few years ago. It was not quite round so took up a bit less room in my bag. Being square, this one is easier to pack as well. It doesn't leak and takes just the right amount of water. Recommended.

I can agree with all the other reviews on here, does not leak, easy to open, etc. One piece of info I did want to know about the bottle was if it was BPA free, I contacted lakeland and they have confirmed it is. Hope this helps someone as having that was the main reason I was looking to get a water bottle.

I felt the need to write a review for this product as I have been so pleased to find a drinks bottle for my son that NEVER leaks. Thank you Lakeland, another fantastic product.

Love the concept of these bottles as I can add them to lunch boxes in place of throw away drink cartons. Easy to open, spill free. I do have problems getting them clean though. In the dishwasher the shoulder part of the bottle traps water and the rubber bung has ridges which can harbor germs. Bung is not the easiest thing to get at and now that I have removed them to clean thoroughly I have spotted other potential spaces for trapping fluid and germs. Cleaning all adds a hassle factor, meaning I end up putting in a carton for convenience

Bought this bottle to make and take my own drinks to work. First time I used it I thought I might have over filled it as it leaked in my bag. Used it again with a fizzy drink and the drink leaked everywhere in my bag! Maybe you have to always keep it upright? Don't think I will use it again, I don't trust the seal.

Without the reviews, I would not have had the confidence to buy these bottles - a no-spill bottle that's easy to open sounds too good to be true. I can now vouch for all the positive things in the reviews, and there's a bonus: there is no screw thread, so if you want to take a swig directly from the bottle, it's almost as good as a cup.

Bought this as I was fed up with leaking water bottles in my children's lunchboxes. They can open this with ease and it doesn't leak. I agree with previous reviewers that you need to take care not to lift it by the lid when full. I'd love to see it in a slightly smaller size for kids.

Have bought 2 of these bottles for my twins as I got fed up of being unable to put their ordinary bottles in their schoolbags because of leakage. These are great! No leaks and hold plenty of water/squash.

After trying many different bottles/beakers which all leaked, I was sceptical about the Sure Stop. However it lives up to its name. Absolutely fantastic. Before I used it I filled it with water and left it upside down over night to see if it leaked... not a drop was lost. I have been using it in my lunch box for 2 weeks now and still not a spill. I would highly recommend the Sure Stop bottle to anyone who has a drink in their lunch box or picnic, probably even for children as the stopper is easy to remove. Very easy to clean with a wide neck and clear body to see inside.

I bought these as fed up of water bottles leaking (screw top type). These have a rubber bung inside that ensures stays watertight. My 4 year old can undo and replace without spilling. They are easy to open and would be great for anyone with a poor grip as no twisting is needed. Would warn not to hold by stopper when full as prone to opening due to weight of water. Stopper stays put when in bags etc. Hard plastic container with reinforcement on bottom but not sure if would stay intact if dropped. Does not come with any info so not sure if shatterproof. Rectangular shape perfect for lunch box.
