Crock-Pot® 5.7L Family Slow Cooker SCCPBPP605-060

I bought this model after asking friends/looking online for the best model to suit my family's needs.I have used it several times a week as prep the ingredients, then just add them to the cooker and leave it to it..One piece of advice after using it last year and spending ages scrubbing the pot clean, is to lightly grease the inside of the pot with whatever cooking oil you have handy (olive, sunflower) before you start adding the ingredients. Makes cleaning a breeze.

Since I have bought this slow cooker - it is in constant use. Have an extended family and work full time. I make all sorts of dinners lasagne, strongnoff, stews, chicken dinners - add vegetables, pasta, rice, potatoes depending on recipe...gives a lovely hot dinner for the family when I come in from work. I recommend this to all my friends and family and everyone else.

We had one of these 40years ago as a wedding present, obviously although it served magnicently time has taken it toll. What a revelation to find that you are selling them. As an American product you would expect it to be BIG, but if you are looking for a very well made and large slow cooker with a cook then keep warm timer feature look no further BUY IT. Do not confuse this product with the £20-30 wonders it is significantly better, only time will tell if it will outlast its predecessor.

Bought this few weeks ago, and had to test it immediately after it came. I've been making pulled pork in oven for years, and gotta say that using Crock-Pot it was even better than before! Making food is so effortless with this! I can just pop to stuff in and adjust the time and go and do other stuff and then return with food ready! Takes a while to heat up, but it's not a problem for me. If you like to make big amounts of food easily, buy this!

I love love love this crok-pot, I can't imagine having any other! I love its looks and its timer-automatic control, the fact that I don't have to get up early as it goes onto keep warm, or that I don't have to worry about rushing back home as dinner will be warm for me :) Lakeland service was super as usual

This is my second crock pot (the first is still going strong although we have broken the handle off the lid, hence the newer one). It has been great but now (after exactly 3 years) it has started to randomly switch itself off. Thankfully this has always happened in the first few minutes so we haven't arrived home to find an uncooked dinner, but we can't trust it any longer. Shame. Not many large slow cookers like this to choose from, on the market, but will have a look at the Lakeland own brand one, as a number of reviewers have recommended it.

i have managed to burn everything I made in this cooker, even when the food isn't burnt it is tasteless, and I'm a really good cook (or so I'm told). In my opinion this cooker gets far too hot on the ceramic pot and the food gets a crust on it - I used this item at least 15 times and only had one lentil dish come out satisfactory, you can't really overlook puy lentils in veg stock and mushrooms though can you. Unfortunately, due to storage I didn't save the box to this cooker so I couldn't return it, this was such a dear mistake to make. I'm now happy with my Lakeland brand slow cooker.

As per the title this is a very good slow cooker but am disappointed having only purchased this a little under 2 weeks ago the logo below the buttons literally peels off. I kept pushing it back on in the first few days now it is completely off. Not what you expect when you pay this amount!! Not great at all!!

I have had quite a few slow cookers in the past, then I bought this one. I love it so much & it gets used very often.

Well after trying two slow cookers from a well known shopping channel, and after throwing out two expensive meals because they smelt like the product, I decided to try good old Lakeland. Ordered the Croc-Pot and my son picked it up, I must say the service I received was excellent, from the Durham store. Anyway decided to cook a pulled pork meal for the kids. Joint in.....turn it on to slow cook, leave it for 10 hrs and came back to one amazingly cooked pork that fell apart. And the product is so easy to clean. Excellent

Really good slow cooker, bought to replace Crockpot I have had for years. Simple to use, great results. Not the cheapest slow cooker on the market, but worth every penny, as my sister was so impressed with mine I am going to order her one for her birthday.

Awesome.......... Does everything the label says it should do. Easy to use, quickly heats up, and a huge dish allowing to cook and freeze half of the meal! Deff buy this again.

It’s my first crockpot. Already has 1 year and... meat, bread, cakes... it's fantastic when I come home after a working day and dinner is ready. What can I say more :)

I bought this for long gentle cooking of stews. Unfortunately, modern Crock-Pots are not suited for this. Even on the low setting they will boil a stew. An FAQ on the Crock-Pot website confirms that the only difference between the high and low settings is that on low it takes longer to reach the same holding temperature. This contradicts the information in slow cooking books, and led to several burnt messes when I set the cooking time for too long. Buying this was a costly mistake! The cheaper Lakeland model I replaced it with keeps my stews below boiling on low, and I am much happier with it.

bought this slow cooker as needed one that could cope with cooking quanitites for a family of 5 and I was not disappointed! It is a great slow cooker, much better than my older, smaller ones! Only problem I could suggest was that it an automatic timer to set would be useful when using the low mode so I could set it to come on when I am either not in the house or in bed asleep! Also my old cookers came with a more comprehensive recipe book than this one did! Will be using it to make my Christmas puddings at xmas time, so will keep you informed!

When I first looked at this slow cooker I wondered if the amount it cost was too much due to the cheaper alternatives, but i went ahead and got this one and i am happy i did, not only does i looks good but it is very practial and very easy yo use.

This is a fantastic piece of kitchen equipment which looks great too. I have cooked numerous tasty recipes in it. I used the keep warm facility to keep a huge amount of chilli hot for a party. I ordered this and it was delivered within 2 days. How's that for service? The Crock-Pot does 'exactly what it says on tin'. A great buy.

I did a lot of rearch for a decent slow cooker and decided, based on the reviews, to buy this one. The product arrived in good order. We have used it a few times using the free cook book that was part of the special offer. The machine is simplicity itself but I think it will take time to get used to cooking this way.

My crockpot does not get put away, it is in constant use. It's main function is wholesome soup. I can get about twelve servings at one go, and cooked overnight, it is not a chore. I also use it for gammon, rolled turkey breast, casseroles. It's a good way of providing healthy fat free meals for my family. I would heartedly recommend this item. Mrs. dorothy webb
