Compact Knife Sharpener

I purchased this on special offer as my old sharpener didn't perform as well as it used to. I must say that I am very impressed with this product. Now I can quickly and easily sharpen my knives with no fuss.

Small, neat, easy to hold - best of all, it's effective. One thing though: the online description states clearly that it's for straight edge knives, but the packaging adds 'serrated knives' (see top right corner). I've tried the Compact Sharpener on old and worn serrated edges and it's truly excellent. Great little gadget!

Sharpens knives well but the instructions on the package are mediocre. It just states the obvious and doesn't explain how to actually use the fine and coarse to sharpen. I'm guessing just do it a few times on coarse and then a few times on fine.

This little gadget has given a new lease of life to our knives. Takes up little room in the drawer, easy to use and a good price. Once knives were sharp we put them in bamboo fibre knife block, bought at the same time, to preserve them. Now a quick swipe every now and again is all they need.

It sharpens knives - but it isn't that easy to hold. (Now I know) I'd strongly prefer something to hold in your hand - this you have to hold in your fingers AND on a surface.

This is one of the best knife sharpeners I have come across. It restores the edge to my lovely Lakeland own brand knives with just a few swipes. Recently I was searching for a file to sharpen my garden axe and couldn't find it when I suddenly had the idea to try the knife sharpener. The result was superb, a really sharp edge in seconds. I've not stopped there; secateurs, shears - if the blade fits into the slot it will sharpen. A brilliant product for the price.
