2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Excellent product" Beth 28 November 2017 Most of the time, I use ice cube bags for the usual ice cubes. However, I wanted this product to freeze the last of my fresh herbs, and they have done the trick! A note from the team Great alternative use.
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Great product!" Mr Power 20 June 2017 I LOVE THESE and i'm in to buy more! I have no idea why so many people moan about this product. Before you fill it with anything, you know it's silicone and moves about, so nobody can say they are surprised if water comes out of it from a sink to a freezer. At no point have i needed anything to use other than these and my freezer isn't in my kitchen so i have to go further. They do the job they are needed for with ease and i can't believe how easy it is to get the cubes out, once they're frozen. Use common sense when buying these and remember they aren't rigid!
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 1 "Total Waste of Money" Mr Hollinsworth 09 January 2017 Despite the many warnings in reviews of this item, I bought it anyway (because it was the cheap option). Total waste of money. The complete lack of any rigidity means that it is impossible to get from the kitchen sink to the freezer without spilling most of the water. If you need an ice cube tray, I bought this one the next day: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/71499/Lakeland-Silicone-Ice-Cube-Tray A note from the team Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear of your experience and we're pleased our Lakeland silicone ice cube tray product reference 71499 works well for you.
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 1 "Poor quality items." Mrs Gibson 11 February 2016 It clearly states that these ice trays produce large ice cubes, they do not, they are tiny. If like me you wish to freeze stock as cubes there would be no point. Very misleading product description and I bought 4 packs of them! If I could give them no stars I would have. A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. We're sorry to hear the ice cube trays aren't suitable and we're glad our customer service team were able to help. The Oxo ice cube tray, reference 17089 might be a good alternative.
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Excellent, easy to use" Mr Phillips 20 July 2015 I bought these trays in Dec 2012 and I use them daily. I wasn't sure if they would last for very long, but they are exactly the same as the day I bought them, no deterioration. They are floppy to carry from the sink to the freezer, but I have fixed that problem with using a small cutting board (125mm x 190mm). After putting the first tray in the freezer, use the cutting board to load the second tray and leave on top of the first tray so that they are stacked with less floor space needed in the freezer. Overall, I am very delighted with them and fully recommend them to anyone.
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Really easy to use!" 29 April 2015 At last, an ice tray that is easy to release the cubes from, just turn it over and push gently, so much easier than plastic versions! Tip: It is easier to fill the trays while they stand on a flat plate/tray and then move this combination to the freezer. If you don't do this you will find the tray is so flexible (which is why it is so easy to pop the cubes out later!) that it twists and spills.
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Excellent product" 22 April 2015 My husband has been looking for an ice cube tray which is easy for him to extract the ice cubes when they are ready without breaking the tray. So glad that I finally found one that he loves. Highly recommended. If only our fridge is bigger, we would have purchased more of these.Thank you Lakeland for offering such a great product and also great value for money too!
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Brilliant" Suzy Holkham 07 July 2014 Bought two of these a couple of years ago, used at least once a week, and still work a treat. Highly recommend.
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 3 "Good and bad..." Thomas 24 October 2013 The ease of getting the ice cubes out is great and the small size of the tray means I can make plenty of ice cubes in a small freezer compartment. The only problem, as noted by several other users is that they are really flimsy and getting from the sink to the freezer is only going to end up with a wet floor. Currently experimenting with a measuring jug and filling them in the freezer, slightly better results... All in all, not a bad product but I may be upgrading sooner rather than later to the oxo good grips tray...
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Great for stock/pesto etc......." Mr WETHERALL 07 February 2013 This review is for an older version of this product .....in other words all those things that are so difficult/impossible to extract from rigid trays. I use them for egg whites, thai curry pastes, fresh herbs in oil mixes, asian ginger/garlic paste and (most importantly) chicken stock ice lollies for my blind collie. Oh, and they are also good for water!
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 4 "Great item" Carla 26 October 2012 These ice cube trays are great. We've always had rigid trays which you can never get whole cubes out of. It's so easy to remove the cubes and they never break up when you do try to remove them. The one thing I would say is that because it is silicone, filling it with water and trying getting it into the freezer is a bit tricky as it sags. What would be good is if it had a rigid lip around the edge so that it didn't sag. A note from the team Thanks for placing your review. We've passed on the suggestion for a more rigid rim.
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 3 "Quick Release Ice Cubes" Cathie 23 August 2012 The ice cubes do come out a treat and that is great. Two issues I have is that they are difficult to get to and from the sink unfrozen and also it would be nice if they were stackable. Other than that it is great not having to fight with ice cubes.
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 1 "Not rigid enough and small" Linda 27 September 2011 First product I've been disappointed with - ice cubes very small and it is impossible to get from sink to freezer without spilling water because the trays are so floppy. It also means a dripping tray goes into the freezer causing a build up for frost. A note from the team Thanks for the review. I'm sorry that you'd been disappointed with the ice cube trays. I'll pass your comments on about them not being rigid enough and be in touch shortly.
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Excellent! So easy to use" Miss Sheppard 26 July 2011 Oh, the joys of not having to fight for your ice! Poke from underneath and they squeeze up out like they're on little ejection seats. No hot water, no banging on counters, no puddles and smashed fragments. The only way this product could be improved would be to have a more rigid rim around the edge of the whole tray, so that it would be easier to carry to the freezer when filled with water. A note from the team Thanks for placing your review. I've passed your product improvement suggestion on to our buying team
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Cubes pop out" Ms Aileen Walsh 26 May 2011 I got these with the spell of hot weather we've had recently. My standard ice cube tray wouldn't let the cubes out without a lot of smashing on the draining board. These are fantastic. Cubes pop out with ease and then I store them in a lock and lock box. Lots of clean icecubes!
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "Flexibility means usability" Gillian 12 July 2010 At last ice cube trays I can use without resorting to violence to extract the cubes. The cubes just pop out with a little pressure. The only downside is filling the tray with water and balancing it carefully without spillage into the appropriate compartment in my freezer - the tray is very flexible! I agree that the ice cubes are small but they fit beautifully into the ice container in the jug I also recently purchased from Lakeland. Good value I would say!
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 4 "Agree with first review!" Ruth 03 July 2010 I bought this as a result of reading the first review for the same purpose (preparing food for my baby). They are very good ice cube trays, seemingly very robust and easy to use. My only other comment is on the size of the cubes themselves: they are rather smaller than I was used to with my first baby but that just means I use double the number of cubes as a portion. It also means that it is a little more fiddly to get the food in (a teaspoon just goes into these cubes). Of course, if you are using them as ice cube trays then that wouldn't be an issue!
2 Silicone 18 Hole Ice Cube Freezer Trays 5 "flexible ice cube trays" Mrs Miller 24 May 2010 When a had my eldest child I went through loads of ice cube trays as they kept breaking whenever I tried to get the food out. Then I found these and would highly recommend to anyone as it was so easy to get the food out and none of it stuck. I could also fit them into the steriliser. They have now become a quirky gift that I give to all my friends when they have a baby!
