"Excellent" star star star star star I've had my two for over 2,5 years and had NO problems. They do exactly what they claim and worth the money. It is necessary to repeatedly pump the top part in a thumb-to-fingers, pinching. squeezing motion - so IF you have bad hands, it might prove hard.
"Dave Of Hugenden" star star star star star These fizzkeepers work very well - until one day you find that one of them has lost pressure. Screwing them on tighter has no effect, and eventually you realize that the RUBBER SEAL has split!!!! support_agent A note from the team We're delighted to say that we introduced an improved version of the Fizz-Keeper in March 2011 as a response to customer feedback, and it has been performing well. Thank you for your feedback.
"Really had my money's worth." star star star star star This review is for an older version of this product I had my two Fizz Keepers 15+yrs un til last summer when one gave up the gas, sorry, ghost. Last week the 2nd gave its last sigh, so I have bought two more! I haven't tried the metal fizz caps as Arthritis and Gout in my hands means I am not able to screw/unscrew bottle caps. The plastic 'lock' that projects a little gives me something on which to grip when I remove the Fizz Keeper or screw it onto a bottle. One Lady said that she found pumping the F.K'r painful for her thumbs, when my hands are 'bad' I use the base of my hands to pump together, looks a bit odd, but it works!!!
"Not very impressed" star star star_border star_border star_border Bought this just under 3 months ago, and it's now broken (the bit you squeeze has become detached from the rest). Whilst using it, I also found it took far longer than I was expecting to pump an open 2L bottle upto pressure, as I have used a pump-action fizz keeper in the past which worked a lot better. All that said, however, Lakeland customer service was great about it, I phoned up, and after just 3 minutes on the phone, they gave me a refund. Therefore, item gets 2 stars (as it did work (until it broke), if I spent enough time squeezing it), but I would give Lakeland 5 stars! support_agent A note from the team Thanks for placing your review. We're pleased that customer service were able to help.
"Pump action version was far superior" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I agree with Nicola, the previous pump action Fizz Keepers were much better than the new squeeze action. I have mild arthritis in both my thumbs and it really hurts to use these Fizz Keepers; also on large bottles nearing the end it takes forever to pump up. support_agent A note from the team Thanks for your review. I'm sorry you've found this difficult to use. I'll be in touch to help
