We've received lots of complimentary letters telling us what a wonderful invention the small Tefal Cheese Preserver is, as normal fridge storage tends to dry cheese out, so it quickly loses taste and texture.
A unique, micro-filter membrane in the lid prevents odours and regulates the humidity, allowing cheese to mature naturally whilst preserving its full flavour and moisture.

This has ensured my cheese lasts much longer than previously. We used it up for the first time instead of throwing away dry or mouldy cheddar. It does take up a lot of room in the fridge though, heightwise, even though I purchased the small size.
Read mixed reviews, but purchased cheese often so purchased . Purchased this and larger preserver with charcoal filter, one for soft and the other for hard cheese. appear to be going well for a few days then one day opened the fridge and the smell hit me. I had to transfer the cheese to other sealed containers and use of Bicarbonate of Soda to get rid of the smell. still use but wrap with double layer of cling film over cheese before place lid on to prevent smells. As previously reported, these preservers keep cheese in prefect condition but does nothing to prevent smells. Very disappointed.

We've probably had this cheese preserver for just over a couple of years now, and it's worked perfectly, both for hard and soft cheeses. Very good quality and value for money, much easier than unwrapping then re wrapping several different cheeses, plus it washes and cleans up well. Definitely would recommend this, have bought two as presents, which are both still being used and enjoyed. Another very good Lakeland product.
I was looking forward to receiving this having wasted so much cheese before. It is now gathering dust in the cupboard, as the cheese was still going off quickly. So disappointed.
For best results - do not close the valve or pile the cheese up. Always place the cheese preserver in the bottom of the fridge.We'll be in touch soon to help.
This product is a total waste of money. The filters were missing. the instructions are very poor and barely readable. I shall be returning it as it really isn't worth it.
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you've been disappointed with the cheese preserver. We've checked about the filters and understand it comes with a permanent filter for this version. The instructions are generic and cover the larger size version too, which does have removable filters. Apologies for this confusion.
