"Not Bad For What It Does" star star star star_border star_border Firstly, the photos don't do the product justice - the product works better if you fit the shield half way up the lance of pressure washers. If this cant be done, then you simply screw it in at the base - thanks to the plastic shroud and 2 screw bits you get. The shield isn't intended to be used as a scraper though and it does shield against flying dirt and mud - particularly when it comes to doing cracks and weed removal between walls and doors. The lightweightness counts against the design.
"Pressure Washer Shield" star star star_border star_border star_border Great idea but not good in practice. You can't see where you are cleaning as the plastic isn't see through. support_agent A note from the team We're sorry that on this occasion the product wasn't as expected. We'll be in touch shortly. Manufacturer advises: the shield is manufactured in recyclable polypropylene, which is opaque and can be seen through at app. 50% clarity. To use a more expensive material, to obtain 100% clarity, would over time of use prove not to be cost effective as the dirt and debris which the shield control in use would soon damage the surface of the plastic and render it opaque.
"Disappointing performance" star star star_border star_border star_border Despite the poor review this item had been given by other Lakeland customers we decided to try the pressure washer shield ourselves. Although the photos illustrating the item are a fair representation in my view it still gives a very disappointing performance. It did stop dirty water splashing up onto my patio windows, but the shield is so inflexible, however hard you press down on it, that it was not possible to clean the patio right up to the window. So we had to remove it in order to clean the area properly and then still had to wash the windows! support_agent A note from the team I'm sorry that on this occasion the product wasn't as expected. "Good in theory!" star star_border star_border star_border star_border Could be that we just aren't strong enough, but we just could not bend it enough on the ground to enable the pressure washer jet to get to the grime! I also have to agree with the other reviewer - you just cannot see where you have and haven't cleaned as you go. The only choice we had was to remove the shield and go back to the old fashioned, messy but productive way. Such a shame as we had high hopes for it! support_agent A note from the team The supplier has advised that to reach corners you can angle the shield, so that the jet of water directly hits the required area. Alternatively you can put downward pressure on the hose in order to bend the neck of the shield.
"Wont fit my washer" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I have a washer. This shield wont fit around the pressure nozzles (they are too large to insert into the u-bolt) or around the narrower lance (the u-bolt fitting is too large and wont secure.) Tried this with all my different nozzle heads - nothing fits. Very surprising and would advise anyone else to check before purchase! support_agent A note from the team I'm sorry you've had such difficulties with the shield. We'll be in touch shortly to put things right for you.
