It works - what more can I say!We have leaky windows when the wind is in one direction and we use water eaters to make sure we dont have puddles on the floor. They are magic.
I bought two of these as we have a large condensation problem (thankfully my landlord is replacing the windows with double glazing). I too left one on the window sill for a couple of days.. and it went mouldy. I have one left which i can still use, but I have to remove it from the window within hours, to let it dry even though it is not fully saturated. I am going away over Christmas for a week and am not sure what I am going to be able to do to stop this problem, as I thought the water eaters would solve it...
We're sorry to learn that the water eater has gone mouldy. Our customer service team will be in touch shortly.
This product was fantastic for the first three days. It did exactly what it was suppose to do. However, on the fourth day I noticed it was going mouldy. I, therefore rung it out, cleaned it, dried it, and replaced it on the window cill. Again, within a couple of days it was mouldy. I cleaned and dried it as before. I then had to go on holiday for a week. When I returned it was covered in mould and had stained my window cill.
I'm sorry to hear that water eater went mouldy. We'll be in touch shortly.
I'm afraid I would not recommend this item either. It appears to absorb some moisture (or at least stops it running off the window sill), but doesn't dry out and mould builds up. Both my upstairs windows are now stained with mould which will need repainting to hide.Really disappointed because I thought I had found the answer to our condensation problems.
I'm sorry to hear that the water eater has got mouldy, I can understand how disappointing this must be. We'll be in touch shortly.
