"Wonderful Results"

star star star star star

This product is very good. It is easy to use and looks good too. The instructions are straightforward. Once dry, any surplus is easily removed. Overall a great pick me up for tired grouting.

This stuff really works! My bathroom was retiled almost 30 years ago in white, and with an "overbath" shower the grouting really suffered, especially when the toddlers turned into constantly showering teenagers! It looked awful! But this whitener paste really works well, its easy to apply (well, if I can do it.....) and my bathroom is rejuvenated! A whole lot cheaper than getting someone in to retile!!Thankyou Lakeland you've come up trumps again!

"Awful product"

Dreadful product - easy to apply but a nightmare to remove excess. I am left with a patchy mess on the grout that I am scraping off with a wire brush and sandpaper! I would give it no stars but there is no option for that.

We're sorry you found it difficult to remove the excess whitener from the tiles. As long as your tiles aren't porous (unglazed) it should be easy to remove the excess by dampening the tiles, leaving for a few minutes and wiping off.

"Excellent Product but Use a Brush not the Sponge"

star star star star star

I have used this product several times now and it is truly white and long lasting. The sponge applicator is useless so just pour some of the product into a cup or saucer and use a fine brush about the same width as the grout line. This method leaves much less residue to clear off afterwards. It is important to scrub off the tiles with a toothbrush and 50/50 bleach water mix first to remove any mould and accumulated muck. Wash off the bleach mix and allow to dry fully before applying the grout paint. Applied this way it is dead easy and really does last well even after repeated scrubbing clean.

"Maybe okay for small or vertical areas."

I obviously misunderstood this product and thought it would make the usual, tedious task of cleaning the grout on my kitchen floor easier. I normally use a bleach spray and toothbrush, which works fine, except that it nearly kills me in the process. Reading the instructions, you still have to clean the grout first, so for me it's pointless, as it just adds to the amount of elbow grease needed. For someone older like me, who struggles with normal cleaning anyway, this is no good whatsoever. I wish the description had been clearer about the lengthy process needed to achieve the results.

Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment - the full details for application is just under the product information in 'useful information' Once applied, this product will resist mould and mildew so it won't need cleaned as often. I'll be in touch to help.
