This is my first 'proper' ice-cream scoop, very heavy and does a professional job. Previously I had only had the plastic sort with a lever to 'eject' the ice-cream... and these had never been very successful.I bought this to accompany my Philips Delizia Ice-cream maker (also from Lakeland) and I find them both impressive and useful.
So far this scoop has been excellent - no more bent spoons!
I have bought 4 of these as presents and for my self and they are extremely good and I highly recommend the scoop. The people I have given them to have been delighted
This is by far the best scoop we have ever purchased. It does not bend even on hard icecream. However like at least one other reviewer the metal scoop has now come loose from the plastic body. It has always been washed in the dishwasher but it is a shame. It still works but ...

We bought the Zyliss ice-cream scoop about a year ago as a good looking sturdy ice-cream scoop, which it is. It's a good weight and scoops well. We have found that the small plastic collar has cracked away through dishwasher use making the head loose. I expect this will fall out sooner or later, for the price I would have expected it to last forever. For the money and length of service I am quite disappointed.
