"touch control candle" star star star star star_border This candle feels like a real wax pillar candle. It requires batteries. When switched on it has a pleasing gentle flicker creating a nice ambiance. It would be perfect in a floral arrangement amongst foliage at Christmas or a wedding. The downside is I found the touch control a little temperamental and at daytime when not in use the flame looks false. Having said that I would buy another in place of real candles as the price is very competitive. I think Lakeland may have their measurement wrong in the description. "Slim,, elegant LED candle. Needs buddies." star star star star star_border The candle arrived in a slim cardboard box and needed 2 x AA batteries. I couldn’t see any instructions for how to turn the candle on or off. Discovered that it needs a firm grip at the top or a firm press either side of the flame. Gives a gentle light and looks nice in a lantern. Stood on its own, it looks rather sad and needs company. "Touch control slim candle" star star star star_border star_border This is quite a nice product,if a little plain. It would have been nicer in a jolly red colour perhaps, for Christmas. As it is, it's a perfectly serviceable all year round touch control candle. It does need a firm touch though to make it turn on and off, unless you actually brush against the sensor itself at the bottom of the 'flame'. The flicker is very pleasant though as is more of an ebbing and flowing glow rather than an actual flicker.
