The little lights sparkle through subtly and look very festive. The batteries are activated by pulling a little tag. "LED Ceramic Lights" star star star star star These are adorable, arrived well packaged and I'll be using the box for storage as well. Easy to turn on with the switches on the bases, much sturdier than I expected, I can see them being used for many years in the future.
