Lakeland Time for Tea Gift Bag

Shortbread biscuits…lovely and buttery, crisp. The toffee biscuits.. too sweet for me but a hit with some of my grandchildren Cake…lovely topping but perhaps a bit too much for the cake which was moist. Strawberry jam…could have had a bit more flavour. Raspberry jam..good flavour but spoilt by the bitty whole raspberry I had to chew through.

This gift selection was lovely to try. The items are packaged beautifully in a pretty gift bag. Each item on its own was really tasty! The jam, biscuits, and cake were all delicious and felt good quality. However, the overall selection felt a little random, as though the items didn’t quite fit together as a gift set. Also, the portions did feel a bit on small side, so it does feel a bit pricey for what you get. Still, it was a nice treat if you’re after a little sampler of Lakeland goodies.

A nice navy and gold gift bag. Would make a good present for a neighbour or teacher. Note the size of the Jam Jars, 130g. The Raspberry and Vanilla flavour is good, a subtle hint of vanilla, def not cloying but the Strawberry has a strange first impression and only later the strawberry flavour comes through. The cake is very dry and not good. The Shortbread is excellent and exactly what you would expect. The Toffee Fudge biscuits are very sweet and crunchy but no real flavour of either toffee or fudge.
