What type of wood should I use?

Add fuel to the fire with quality, dry wood for the perfect smokeless flames. Kiln-dried hardwoods, such as oak or maple, have a low moisture content, so they'll burn at a higher temperature to give your flames a smooth, secondary burn effect.

What is a secondary burn?

The secondary burn takes place near the top of the Solo Stove's burn chamber. The upper vent holes along the inside of the stove blast the fire with preheated oxygen to create an ultra-hot flame that burns off smoke. All this happens due to Solo Stove's signature 360° airflow design.
