Aerolatte Coffee Grounds Catcher
Product number: 74222
You can’t beat a fresh, French-pressed coffee from a glass cafetiere – but what you could probably do without are all the leftover coffee grounds that clump together in a sloppy mess at the bottom of the beaker after you’ve poured it. The Aerolatte Coffee Grounds Catcher collects the grounds in the bottom of the cafetiere, and then easily lifts out so you can transfer them straight to the bin.
Not only do wet coffee grounds clog up your drains if you pour them down the sink, but they linger in the kitchen for what seems like forever – you’ll often find rogue grounds in and around the sink area long after clean-up. This clever catcher collects them all in one place so you can throw them away instead of pouring them down the plughole. The slits in the sides allow the water to drain away as you lift to avoid making the process any messier than it needs to be.

My cafetiere is too small to fit this inside, but I just pour the coffee remains into it, and then put on the compost
This product does what is says on the box and does collect the used coffee grounds. It is difficult to reach the catcher to empty it though. Good idea.
A nice idea but I don't consider this product fit for purpose. I wondered whether it would be hard to remove it from the cafetiere. It was not - because the plunger got jammed into it and it was very hard to separate the two! We used it again with the same outcome, then washed and re-boxed it. If I can still return it I will.
