About Ravenhead Glassware
Founded in the north-west of England in 1842, Ravenhead began as glass bottle makers. They became famous for their drinking glasses in the 1940s, when their designer Alexander Hardie Williamson created the now iconic dimpled glass beer mug and a Babycham-style champagne flute, which paved the way for other glassware designers to bring Ravenhead to the forefront of public attention in the 1970s, a place it has occupied ever since.
