"Stress-free watering" star star star star star I started with a couple of these and was so impressed I have enough to go in all my summer hanging baskets. Once the foliage has grown up you can't see the ball. I also have them in plants in the conservatory and they work extremely well. I recently lent 6 to a friend who was going on holiday and all her plants survived 6 weeks while she was away. Can you sell them all year please?
"Great little product" star star star star star I have been using a number of these for a couple of years now and have been very pleased with them. As another reviewer says, they do not replace regular watering, but they do allow you to water less frequently. Without them, I would need to water my tubs every day, but with them, I can stretch this out to almost a week, depending on the weather.I couldn't be without them now.
"Brilliant" star star star star star These are excellent - I've used mine for some time now. My plants are kept watered when I can't or don't have the time but I think they should only be used for this purpose - to buy them and think that you will not need to water (particuarly if it is a large pot/area) is a little naive. They do not (and will not) keep an entire area watered as the spike is only an inch thick. However they are good for keeping things ticking over (particularly on hot days) to stop things from wilting in between waterings. I'd recommend using these when small plants are just planted as the roots can then grow towards the spike (and where the water is).I've bought 10 of these now!
"Great product" star star star star star This is great - saves on the watering and works really well outside. I have several different types of self-watering devices, but this is definitely the best.
"Self-watering spike" star star star star star_border Bought these when we went away on holiday in June for plants in conservatory as, although boys were at home I knew they wouldn't remember to water the plants and it can get very hot in there.Very pleased with results - they only need refilling every 10 days or so and the plants are looking much lusher than when I watered them by hand. Important though to read the instructions and set the copper tube to the right setting which may take a bit of trial and error - try before you leave them for any length of time!
