The title shows where I use these pellets, it might be just me but they are great at getting the pizza stone up to temperature and keeping it there. Have had several delicious pizza evenings and am really delighted to have “given these a go”.
No need to buy the more expensive branded wood pellets for your Ooni pizza oven - these work perfectly. Recommended.
Once you get the hang of how the oven works and topping up the pellets they are excellent. Heat up quickly to create the curling flames and pizzas are cooked in a flash! Don’t forget to rotate the pizza

Bought an Ooni and the pellets a few months ago and still to be convinced they do the job. I’m pretty confident I’m using the oven correctly and it’s been set up ok but experiencing two problems … 1) the temperature max’s out at around the 300-350c range. Nowhere near the 500c Ooni say you can get 2) after cooking a couple of pizzas the flames just die out even though I’m feeding the hopper. I have noticed the ash from the pellets seem to stick rather than fall through the grate. Interesting that these are softwood rather than hardwood as recommended by Ooni Heading in to local store this week
