Packed with raisins and sultanas, flavoured with almond and fragrant rosewater, and fed with light brandy, this exceedingly lovely cake is free from gluten so nobody has to miss out on its supreme tastiness – it’s great with a chunk of cheddar too.

About Ginger Bakers
Back in 2006, Lisa Smith began baking cakes in her own kitchen, supplying local cafes and selling them at farmers markets. Her gorgeous cakes caught on, and before she knew it, she’d outgrown her kitchen. Nowadays, Lisa and her multi-award-winning team create wonderful cakes in a purpose-built bakery, just outside Kendal, the gateway to the Lakes.

This cake is really pretty. The cherries and nuts on the top are covered in a lovely glaze. I'm not coeliac but do like gluten free cakes as they usually feel lighter than wheat flour cakes. This is full of fruit with a lovely hint of brandy. Fruit cake is not my go to cake but it is my husbands and this cake got a big thumbs up!
Bought for family who need gluten free. It looks very nice but can’t comment on the taste and texture as not opened.
This is the best gluten-free fruit cake I've had in ages. It's soft, tasty, full of fruits and nuts. I'll rebuy it.
As someone who likes fruit cake, and a coeliac, it great to have a gluten free one, this cake is very nice, in fact once opened from its packaging and placed in an air tight tin, it tasted even better and stayed fresh for quite a few days. Full of fruit with a nut and cherry topping gives it the moisture that always helps a gluten free product.
