Ready right out of the box, Ooni Koda is good to go in seconds – simply flip open the foldable legs, insert the cordierite stone baking board, and connect to a gas bottle.
Because there’s no chimney and the legs fold neatly away, it’s really easy to take wherever you want – out to the back garden, round to a friend’s barbecue, or to the beach. And it’s so compact that it’s perfect for anyone whose outdoor space is restricted to a small backyard, or even a balcony.

There’s no fiddling around with wood pellets with this model. Just link up the integral gas burner to a bottle of propane – it takes standard UK propane gas bottles – and press the one-touch gas piezo ignition. It starts heating up immediately, getting up to a scorching 500°C in just fifteen minutes. The waterfall-effect flame distribution means it heats up evenly, while the built-in flame keeper maximises heat and directs the flame towards food for faster results. The gas regulator gives a constant flame that doesn’t need to be stoked or ‘fed’ to keep it going, and there’s no grate to clean when everything’s cooled down and the guests have gone home.
A simple adjustable dial lets you increase or decrease the flame, giving you control over the heat. Turned up full, it’ll cook delicious, crisp-based pizza in just 60 seconds, and you can turn it down and experiment with a whole range of other food, from flatbreads to chargrilled fish, roast vegetables and seared steaks – all without leaving the party.
The secret to perfect pizza is the cordierite stone baking board, which absorbs and holds the heat, soaking up any moisture in your dough to give you traditionally crisp-crusted pizza in just 60 seconds. Because you’re cooking on gas this oven doesn’t need a door, and the open front is perfect for popping pizzas in and whipping them out, and for keeping an eye on them while they cook.
The foldaway legs stay cool so you can place the oven anywhere without worrying about damaging the top of your outdoor table. And they also help to keep your oven stable on uneven surfaces, so there’s little danger of it wobbling over or coming to grief if you’re using it in the park or on the beach.
Ooni Koda Carry Cover
Tailor-made to fit the Ooni Koda Gas-Fired Pizza Oven, this water-resistant 2-in-1 Carry Cover has an elasticated edge that makes it super-speedy to fit over the oven – even while the legs are down. Sturdy canvas straps then pass under the Koda to hold the cover securely in place when you’re carrying it from home to wherever you’re planning to hold your pizza party.
The carrying straps can be linked together with the padded wraparound handle and Ooni have provided a bespoke loop with press-stud fastenings to hold the gas regulator tube so it doesn’t flap about while you’re on the move.
