We take our biscuits seriously, and these bite-size biccies didn’t disappoint. Baked in Yorkshire and based on a traditional recipe – with a festive twist – they’re studded with dried fruit and capture all the flavours of a Christmas pudding. Once you’ve opened all of those presents, you’re going to need a good cup of tea. But no of the run-of-the-mill bags for you today. Made with a special blend of leaves picked in the Assam and Nilgiri regions of India, it’s a refreshing blend of ‘English’ tea that can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
Christmas Chutney (125g)
We’re lucky to have some very talented food producers here in the Lake District, and this rich fruit-packed chutney was made practically on our doorstep. This little jar is packed with all our favourite winter flavours – apricot, brown sugar and onions; orange, cranberries and an aromatic blend of spices… We can’t imagine a Boxing Day cheeseboard without it, and a spoonful dolloped on cold cuts is a wonderful thing indeed.
Christmas Marmalade (135g)
There’s marmalade, and then there’s this golden toast topper, made in the Lake District and treated to a glug of Christmas liqueur. Packed with shredded orange and lemon, and a few cranberries for good measure, it’s a zingy and indulgent spread for crumpets and English muffins.
Mini Christmas Pudding (100g)
Crammed with vine fruits and candied mixed peel, and preserved with brandy, this traditional pudding is just the right size for one, yet big enough to share with a loved one if you fancy ‘just a little something’ after a big Christmas dinner.’
Christmas Fudge (100g)
We’ve yet to meet anyone who can say no to a chunk of this heavenly crumbly fudge. Made in the traditional way with brown sugar and full cream condensed milk, it’s studded with dried fruit and mixed peel for a mouth-wateringly good treat that’s reminiscent of Christmas puddings.
