What you get

• Chilli Onion Relish (200g) – packed with caramelised onions, this sweet and spicy relish is perfect with a melted camembert and fresh, crusty bread.
• Pear & Fig Relish (210g) – fruity with a little hint of port. Best served with a strong blue cheese.
• Classic Apple Relish (210g) – delightful with a creamy Cheddar, this preserve is crammed with tangy crisp apples and sultanas.

Whilst super-delicious, these relishes have also been mindfully prepared using misshapen, fresh produce that may have otherwise been thrown away (after all, it’s what is on the inside that counts!) Rubies In The Rubble fight food waste with relish! Jenny, their Scottish-born founder, started the business after seeing huge amounts of discarded produce at fruit and veg markets across London. Beautiful tomatoes, mangoes, onions and more… all headed for landfill, often because they simply didn't look ‘perfect’. With a mission to make the best relishes around, rescuing fruit that’s in a pickle, the team now partners with UK farms to buy crops that would otherwise be discarded because of their appearance, whether that’s too big, too small, too ripe or even just a bit pear-shaped. The recipes created from these ‘rescued’ items have to pass a taste test, not a beauty contest, and we think you’ll agree they’re too good to refuse.
