Eden Project Biodegradable Coffee Capsules Costa Rican – Pack of 10
Product number: 73460
Delicious coffee, from a pod, without any hard-to-recycle waste. If you’re looking for a great-tasting brew that doesn’t cost the earth, these completely biodegradable, Nespresso-compatible Costa Rican blend coffee capsules from the Eden Project tick all the boxes.
Fully biodegradable
Unlike plastic coffee capsules which can be hard to recycle, these pods are fully biodegradable, home-compostable and won’t end up in landfill. Once they’ve delivered a delicious brew, simply add the used pods to your compost heap or composting bin, where they’ll break down in weeks along with the rest of your food waste. And if you don’t compost at home, they can also be added to any food recycling bin and many garden waste recycling bins too*.
Great-tasting organic coffee
Made from 100% Arabica beans, there’s no compromise on the flavour and aroma of your brew with this delicious single origin, Costa Rican blend. Organically grown, single origin beans are lightly roasted to give notes of toasted barley, spices and black walnut. And with three other blends in the range, there’s sure to be one that’s just right for you.
Compatible with Nespresso® coffee pod machines
If you’ve got a coffee maker designed to take Nespresso® capsules and you’re not sure these capsules will fit properly, don’t worry – they’ve been specially designed and rigorously tested to ensure they deliver superb extraction with all brands, makes and models of Nespresso® coffee pod machines.
About Eden Project biodegradable coffee capsules
Disposing of used coffee capsules is an ever-increasing problem, which is why the Eden Project developed this range of compostable capsules. They’re free from aluminium and oil-based plastic, so you no longer need to peel off the foil, empty out the coffee and sort the components into separate recycling bins. Instead, they’re made from fully biodegradable bioplastic that breaks down into simple raw materials in your compost heap in a matter of weeks. And adding to their eco-credentials, they’re produced using energy generated from wind, sun, hydrological power and biogas.
About The Eden Project
From its iconic visitor centre in Cornwall to its Gardens for Life development programme in Africa, the Eden Project are always searching for sustainable solutions and looking to reduce waste, while striving to connect us with each other and the living world and explore how we can work towards a better future.
* Please check that your local council waste recycling service accepts biodegradable pods before adding these to your garden waste collection.
