Cast Aluminium Ravioli Tray with Rolling Pin

Product number: 73382

Enjoy freshly made ravioli with your favourite fillings whenever it takes your fancy with this Cast Aluminium Ravioli Making Set. Making it really easy to create tasty Italian-style pockets of deliciousness, it’s a foolproof way to turn out a dozen dinky pasta ravioli at a time – all you need to do is create the pasta sheets and choose what filling to go for… Will it be a mushroom medley, goat’s cheese, langoustine or a classic beef ragu? All the yummier for being homemade!

How it works

  • Lay a thin sheet of fresh pasta across the non-stick cast aluminium mould and press it gently into the circular indentations.
  • Spoon in your choice of filling and moisten the pasta around the edge of each little heap.
  • Cover with a second layer of pasta and roll firmly across the top to seal the edges.

In no time at all you’ve made a dozen perfectly square ravioli! The raised patterns around each square of the mould cut through the pasta layers to give each little parcel an authentically pinked edge, sealing the edges as you roll, so the filling will stay safely in the centre while the pasta cooks and right up until you cut into the tasty morsels. We think you’ll find it hard to stop at one dozen, they’re so easy to do!

In the kit

  • Cast aluminium ravioli tray
  • Small beechwood rolling pin

"Great idea, doesn't work!"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I love the idea of this, however, no matter how much flour I dust the tray with, my ravioli will NOT come out! I end up 'helping' them out with a plastic knife and spoiling the shape in the process. I really want this to work - any advice? Otherwise I feel I have wasted my money, as I get better results with a cheap fluted cookie cutter! Very disappointed.

We're sorry you had this problem. We can only suggest a light dusting of flour. We're glad we were able to refund you for this.

"Good gadget"

This is a neat gadget to make ravioli more easily. The instructions are simple but easy enough to follow. The rolling pin really helps. Some recipes say you should wet the pasta but I didn't need to with this. Washed easily although not in the dishwasher.

"Ravioli Tray."

Very attractive and useful packaging (for storage when not in use) and clearly a tool for a very specific task. I found the roller a bit on the light side, but I have heavier ones in my kitchen. The instructions for use are brief and helpful. Within a day I had produced my first hand made ravioli. A great success! This was a first attempt and a great boost to my kitchen confidence. Thanks for a well designed tool. Thanks.

"Ravioli made easy"

Works very well for making ravioli. Just make sure your pasta is (very) well dusted with flour before putting it in the mould.

"Doesn't cut"

star star star_border star_border star_border

Very disappointed. The pasta sheet needs to be really really thin if you want to be cut through the zigzag patterns on the tray,, The rolling pin is a pretty useless addition and does nothing much. Was really hoping it will work!
