Step forward the Metaltex Onion Saver – an airtight, odour-resistant fridge store especially designed to solve that tricky question.

Shaped like an onion, complete with the pointed top of a Russian onion-domed tower, it has a sturdy stain-proof polypropylene base that won’t be affected by red onions, and the flexible silicone lid is semi-opaque so it’s easy to see just how much onion is left when you’re checking in the fridge for ingredients for your next meal.

Easy to put on and take off, the soft, squishy lid is leakproof – keeping any juices inside – and airtight, so no stray aromas can escape to taint anything else in the fridge.

Reusable and safe to put in the freezer, it’s dishwasher safe so clean-up is easy.
