It’s amazing just how many recipes call for half a lemon, and there are only so many slices of citrus you can fit into an evening cocktail – so how do you store the remainder? You don’t want everything in your fridge to smell lemony fresh – especially the cheese – and acidic lemon juice can be damaging if it gets onto a delicate surface…
That’s why we’ve been so pleased to find this Metaltex Lemon Saver. Lemon-shaped, it has a sturdy polypropylene base with a textured silicone top that’s semi-opaque so you can see at a glance how much lemon is left when you’re gathering ingredients for a recipe.
Easy to put on and take off, the soft, squishy lid is airtight – keeping aromas safely inside – and leakproof, so no stray drops of juice can escape to taint anything else in the fridge.
Reusable and safe to put in the freezer, it’s dishwasher safe so clean-up is easy.
BPA free.

This works, in that the lemon is kept fresh for days (or however it long it lasts). An improvement on Lakeland's pevious lemon saver in that the top clips on. A good size , so will take larger lemons. I'm very pleased with this product.
It's been at least a week and the lemon seems as fresh as the day I bought it
Great little product but I was worried about using it for a larger lemon which was greater than half. So far, so good. I would suggest one slight improvement. The edges are a bit too smooth, having ridges would make it easier to grip, this is the same for all the fridge food savers, as I bought several.
