"Great at first"

star star star_border star_border star_border

I bought this in-store a while back. At first, they were great, now the seals are all coming away from the bag. As the bags are made of a stiffer material, it is impossible to reseal them with a bag clip, now rendering them unusable. Nice idea but for me after a bit of long term use, I won't be replacing them and will look for an alternative reusable bag.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear this has happened and we've sent you an email to help further. After removing from the freezer we'd recommend to wait just a little while before opening the bags.

"Disappointing"

Trying to reduce single-use plastic & thought these would help. I make a sponge every week in a loaf tin & freeze slices to have daily. Previously I used 2 squares of clingfilm for each slice, which works perfectly & takes up no room in the freezer. I have persevered but I am sorry to say that they are going to the charity shop. The opening is too narrow & springs shut (does not soften with use in my experience). I'm ok with the faff washing/drying, but its impossible to get a slice of cake in without damage and they take up too much room in freezer. Maybe ok for free-flowing fruit/veg?

Thank you for your review. We're sorry these bags haven't been suitable for you and we've sent you an email. The seals are strong to be effective but will ease slightly with use. Thanks again for your feedback.

"Best, so far"

I've read some of the reviews! Not too sure what their problem is. These are good bags. I have tried Silicone bags and it is a really fight to get them open, and they split. These are a breeze in comparison. As to washing, what is wrong with warm soapy water! Then rice and hang over a wooden spoon put upright to dry. Finish off with kitchen towel. Job done.

"Difficult to dry and clean"

star star star_border star_border star_border

I really wanted these to be good as I've massively reduced my foodwaste by using freezer bags to keep things fresh and storable recently. So I first tried a disinfectant cleaner but its hard to get it into the corners, and then tried in the dishwasher and it was an unmitigated disaster. Some were washed but it took days to dry them properly, some just closed up, and some filled with water and slumped into the tub stopping the spray arm :( So in summary, good idea, but not enough thought about the design to help with the cleaning & long term use.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry you've found these difficult to clean and we've sent you an email. These can be hand washed with normal washing up liquid and you should be able to use a cloth or sponge to reach the corners. Alternatively placing them in a dishwasher and you just need the air to be able to circulate to dry them, usually placing upside down and open over the prongs of the drying rack.

"Excellent reusable bags"

I was so pleased to find these at Lakeland as I am trying to get rid of all single use plastic in the kitchen - such as clingfilm. I have had these now for over a year and they are still going strong. I use them for storing bananas, avocado, curry, soup. Fab! I've seen some people say they are too big. I just freeze my fruit for example, seal, let the air out and then fold the bag in half. The seal can be tough but you get used to it. They wash well in the dishwasher or by hand and I dry out with kitchen towel. I store them with a piece of kitchen towel in to keep them open when in not in use.
