Silicone is a fantastic material for making desserts, but when it comes to home-made treats with delicate layers of mousse or chocolate, removing them from 'traditional' silicone bakeware can be a bit tricky. Layered cakes and desserts

Say, for example, you've had a hankering for a cheesecake ... You can make the biscuit base in the bottom, then pop it in the fridge to set. Add the next collar, fill with the cream cheese layer and chill again; when that's done, pop the last collar on, and top with yummy fruit. Come serving time, you can easily lift the collars away, then serve on the base, and as it's oven-safe it's great for baked cheesecakes too.

Superb non-stick

Silicone is naturally non-stick, doesn't absorb or retain odours and is fantastic when it comes to easy food release. It also means this 3-layer mould is really easy to clean.

Steel frame for extra stability

With an encased steel frame in each of the three layers, they all remain rigid in use, so it's easy to add or remove layers from the base. It's also much easier to move from countertop to oven or fridge without wobbling around the way unreinforced silicone can, and because the metal is completely covered by silicone, the set is safe to use in the microwave too.
